CONNECTCARE is a Participated Research Action (PAR) aiming at designing a host, care and support multisituated model for asylum seekers, and it is based on the collaboration between the Human Science Dept. of the University of Verona, the Mental Health Centre of Trento and the association Astalli Centre of Trento being the main partner. In this framework CONNECTCARE enhances the public responsibility of the research, by contributing at widening the knowledges and skills in a field of relevant social interest such as the hosting of asylum seekers. In fact, the pedagogical sciences don’t show a proper attention regarding this field, and a lack of tools in relation to the constantly growing presence of forced migrants in Italy is evidenced. The PRA, as a matter of fact, is a valid methodological approach since it is oriented at producing knowledge building processes, starting from the deep knowledge of the social and educative problems and the emancipative engagement of the involved actors. The interest for this approach starts from the possibility to design a model replicable in different contexts – first of all through the Astalli association network – increasing considerably the replicability potential of the research results. The research is in line with the orientation and priorities expressed by European Union through Horizon 2020. The programme, as a matter of fact, finds in the area of asylum seekers and international protection the weak ring of the european migration policies and supports the use of a complex and multi-situated perspective in the comprehension and management of migrations. Furthermore, the project builds on the scientific basis of the coordinator, who in the last 16 years, has focused her action on the implementation of care models able to involve the services of health, education and social area in the work with migrants.
