Wanda Tommasi is an associate professor of history of philosophy at the Department of Human Sciences. For many years she has been researching the horizon of sexual difference: this is a key to reading that allows us to make sense of being women / men even in the work of thought; its intent is also to enhance the contribution of female thinkers especially in the contemporary context. This research address is linked to the female philosophical community "Diotima", of which Tommasi has been part since its foundation in 1984. Her most recent research has investigated the role of emotions in the contemporary subject: this is linked to the perspective of the "Forma mentis" research center. Moreover, he is currently working on a research on the relationship between reason and madness in various authors (women and men) from the eighteenth century to the present day: this is linked to the research center "Tiresia. Philosophy and psychoanalysis ", for references to psychoanalysis.
