MEASURING PERCEIVED VALUE: DEVELOPMENT AND VALIDATION OF A SCALE How can institutions responsible for the management of public spaces measure the value citizens assign to these spaces? Starting from a case study on the Poveglia Island, the construction and validation of this scale allows us to measure perceptions and evaluations of the value of a public natural good from a social, environmental, historical-cultural, psychological, and functional perspective. This study aims to provide institutions with a tool to understand community perceptions and guide more participatory and effective policies.
