“The Nous Project” is an emotional education project promoted in primary and middle schools. The theoretical framework refers to phenomenological philosophy, in particular to the reflections that highlight the centrality of emotions in personal experience and development, and to the cognitive conception of emotions, according to which emotional experiences are strongly anchored to thoughts, as they depend on evaluations and beliefs with respect to the situations or events that arouse them. The activities proposed to schools are structured around a metaphor designed to facilitate emotional self-understanding in children. Qualitative research is carried out on the educative pathway implemented in the classroom in order to understand how emotional self-understanding develops from the proposed activities.
