EduForIST project “Development of technical-practical tools for carrying out educational and training activities in the field of sexuality, relationships and prevention of STIs (Sexually Transmitted Infections) in the school setting”

EduForIST (Development of technical and practical tools for carrying out educational and training activities in the areas of sexuality, affective relationships and STI prevention in the school context) is a project commissioned and funded by the Ministry of Health - Directorate General for Health Prevention, carried out in collaboration with the Ministry of Education. The project, coordinated by the University of Pisa and carried out in collaboration with several partners (the full list is available at the end of the page), aims to develop a technical reference document that defines guidelines and teaching tools that can assist the activities of male and female practitioners who intervene in the school setting on the issues of affectivity education, sexuality and prevention of sexually transmitted infections (STIs).

The project is divided into four areas of action:

1. identification of documentary references (national and international) and collection, at the territorial level, of good practices developed or implemented in Italian regions
2. development of a reference document for the development of educational interventions to be implemented in schools
3. development of a package of tools for the implementation of educational interventions to be implemented in schools through a pilot phase carried out in schools in the geographical areas selected by the project (Lombardy, Tuscany, Lazio and Apulia).
4. dissemination of results throughout the country.
