Elena Florit is a tenure-track Developmental and Educational Psychology researcher at the Department of Human Sciences. Her research focuses on language acquisition and literacy skills.
Her specific research interests concern:
• individual and contextual factors that support the comprehension and production of oral text in monolingual and bilingual children of preschool and school age.
• Interventions on motor development in green environments in children aged 0-3 years and effects on motor, cognitive, and socio-emotional development.
• Comprehension of written texts in print and digital mediums in primary school children.
• Interventions to support linguistic development at home and in educational contexts.
Her studies are published in national and international journals and she collaborates with international partners.
