Curriculum

Linda Napolitano is a full professor of history of ancient philosophy at the Department of Human Science. Her research is mostly concerned with the study of the various forms of creative thinking and conceptual constitution of knowledge in the ancient Greek world, as well as their many re-actualizations in contemporary philosophy (philosophy of care, Socratic dialogue). Therefore, her studies fit within two research fields of the Department: "Roots and cultures of the contemporary world" and "Theories and ethics of caring".
In her role of head of the Departmental Research Center “Asklepios. Philosophy, Transformation and Care”, her research focuses on the various forms of theory and practice of care (notably Narrative-Based Medicine and Dignity Therapy), and actively interacts with public Medical Institutions (Centro di Riferimento Oncologico in Aviano, Pordenone, and the Clinical Hospital of Verona “Borgo Trento”).
