Anna Carreri is associate professor in Sociology of Work and Organization at the Department of Human Sciences of the University of Verona, where she is also coordinator and co-founder of the research centre RE- WOrk: REsearching for REmaking Work and Organizing (https://sites.dsu.univr.it/rework/). She is affiliated with the School of Social Sciences of the University of Hasselt in Belgium and associate member of CWOS-Centre for Work, Organization and Society at Essex Business School, UK. Currently, she is the Coordinator of the BA course of study in Social Service. She works in some editorial boards: she is associate editor of Studi organizzativi; member of Organization (Editorial Board); member of Sociologia del lavoro and Book Series Società, Lavoro e rappresentanza, Ed. Franco Angeli (Editorial Staff); member of Economia e società regionale (Editorial Board).
After her PhD in Sociology and Social Research at the University of Trento in 2015, Anna Carreri worked in several Italian universities. She spent some visiting periods abroad, in particular at the CEU (Central European University) in Budapest in Hungary and at the Faculty of Business Economics of Hasselt University in Belgium. Her research concerns the following themes: 1) the relationship between production and social reproduction from a critical and intersectional perspective; 2) the quality of working life in relation to changes in organizational models; 3) identity and (new) work and organizational cultures. Her work is informed by a continuing concern with the ethics and practices of research, especially (post-)qualitative methods in organizational settings.
Her work is published in journals such as British Journal of Industrial Relations, Current Sociology, and Community, Work and Family.

In particular, special attention is paid to dimensions such as autonomy, control, participation, and the relationship between private and work life, for example in relation to the emergence of new forms of work.
