As a scholar of the Platonic tradition, she initially dedicated her research to the figure of the humanist Domizio Calderini and his relationships with Bessarion and Trapezuntius within the context of the 15th-century dispute between Platonists and Aristotelians. Later, she shifted her focus to the philosophy of Marsilio Ficino, in particular his commentaries to the Platonic dialogues, on which she has published numerous articles and essays.
Her recent works explore the relationship between philosophy and prophecy, philosophy and religion, and philosophy and Sacred Scripture in Ficino’s writings. Another area of investigation concerns Ficino's definition of the human subject and its role in the constitution of the universe, both from a psychological and gnoseological perspectives.
