Course organization
Acquire knowledge about:
- Some significant texts of Italian literature
- Understanding and interpreting texts, as a teaching-oriented process
- The relationship between childhood and poetry
Acquire competence in:
- reading poetry, in an intertextual perspective too
At the end of the course, students will be able to plan and realize autonomously teaching and learning modules for the primary school in real social and cultural contexts.
The course will focus on: Childhood and Poetry
The unitary theme will include:
1. Child as a poet, poet as a child
2. Representation of childhood in poetry between intimate space and openness to the world
3. Poetry at school
In addition to this theme, there will be a theoretical part about the nature of the poetic text, the ways of reading and interpreting, the teaching of literature and poetry

- The objective of the test is to verify students have acquired all the skills developed during the course and the ability of planning Learning Units on the subject of the course
- Content of the test: it will be divided with reference to the same three themes of the course, and will include the production of a Learning Unit
Test: Students will be given a written test divided into two parts: First part: questions with an open answer. Second part: production of a Learning Unit
-Evaluation: grade point average of the two parts (max grade is thirty)
Students who did not follow the course will be given a test previously agreed with the teacher.
