Learning outcomes

The course aims to provide students with the knowledge necessary to understand the places of training and education and how they can play a transformative role, when introducing opportunities for research and reflection, aimed at professional development. The course is developed in relation to different stages of the training cycle, focusing in particular on the ecological perspective, where educational experience and the researcher’s action overlap to enhance the experience of the professionals.

Syllabus

Teaching programme:
- Training and education contexts: places of learning and innovation;
- Medical Humanities: an educational and research approach for health professionals;
- Reflecting on experience: training and research work together;
- Epistemological frameworks in pedagogical research;
- Introduction to some research methods and strategies.

Teaching methods:

Assessment methods and criteria

Attending students will be assessed throughout the whole course considering the participation in the activities, both in terms of quantity and quality of the contributions. It is intended to develop a portfolio during the course that will be presented and discussed during the exam.
For non-attending students a written assessment test will include a list of open questions regarding the subjects of the programme.
