Learning outcomes

In order to deal with the challenges of designing and implementing educational processes, one needs to consider education as an open, articulated and widespread system and to maintain an orientation to research as a mean to enhance one’s professional development.
This course intends to contribute to the development of such an orientation by introducing the students to pedagogical research methodology. More specifically, the course raises awareness to the existence of different epistemological frameworks and presents some research methods and strategies.

a) Context: the world of education
b) The educational process and the development of a professional orientation to research
c) The role of reflective thinking in the development of professional practice
d) Epispemological frameworks in pedagogical research
e) Introduction to some research methods and strategies
