Curriculum

Ferdinando Luigi Marcolungo is a full professor of theoretical philosophy. His researches are part of the "Roots and Cultures of Contemporary Culture" research line of the Department of Human Sciences of the University of Verona, with reference to the theme "History of Ideas". This activity is also part of the "Researches of Gnoseology and Metaphysics" Centre, with particular attention to the project of critical re-edition of Giuseppe Zamboni’s gnoseological texts. The new edition of Zamboni’s Studies on the «Critique of Pure Reason»has been published in 2017, accompanied by an extensive and detailed introduction. The volume The Reality and the Self(2016) is axed on the examination of the relationship between gnoseology and phenomenology, stressing the role of the pure cognitive self. In the volume Christian Wolff and the hermeneutics of Enlightenment (2017), I focused on Wolff’s rationalism: the aim of my essay is to combine the attention to the experience, in the phenomenological perspective, with the classic metaphysical deepening.
