Peri Tutar Çınar completed her master’s and doctoral studies at Ankara University, Faculty of Educational Sciences, Department of Lifelong Learning and Adult Education. Her master’s thesis focused on women’s political learning, while her doctoral research examined culture and the arts in the context of lifelong learning.
She worked for nearly seven years at the Ministry of National Education of the Republic of Türkiye, within the Directorate General for Lifelong Learning, as part of the PIKTES project, which aims to support the integration of migrant children into the Turkish education system. In this role, she contributed to the planning and implementation of professional development programs for school administrators and teachers. She continues to hold a position at the Ministry of National Education.
For the past two years, she has also been teaching as a visiting lecturer at Başkent University. She is currently conducting postdoctoral research at the University of Verona, Department of Human Sciences, focusing on Italian policies and practices related to adult education for migrants.
Her research primarily adopts qualitative methodologies, and her main academic interests include gender, migration, informal learning, and adult education policy.
