Learning outcomes

Ethics and Psychoanalysis (Module I)
The teaching aims at conveying to the student a set of conceptual tools and styles of reflection related to some great ethical themes of the contemporary world and of contemporary philosophy in relation to the great themes posed by Psychoanalysis. At the end of the course the student will have to know how to move with autonomy along the paths taken in class, mastering the language, concepts and perspectives addressed in the classroom.

Critical Ethics (Module II)
The lectures concern the questions that emerge around the human conduct. The individual themes are dealt with taking into account the historical context, but with prevalent theoretical commitment. Knowledge and various competences contribute to characterize the appropriate horizon for interdisciplinary investigations and developments. At the end of the class the student must have developed independence of reflection and judgment, in order to elaborate reflections related to ethics, philosophical language skills and ability to understand the texts and to apply the concept developed in this way to the problems of contemporaneity.

Syllabus

Students attending the classes will receive frontal lessons and participate to a seminary activity that involves the participation of students, which will address the texts in the form of a comment, an elaboration, an extension and a discussion of their content. The individual study of the texts will be also an important part of the preparation of the final exam. Meeting hours for students are scheduled during the whole academic year. Days and hours of the courses and of the meetings will be communicated in the teacher’s personal webpage.
For students who will attend classes as well as for students not attending the classes, the contents of the textbooks, as well as the lessons and exercises held in the classroom, are part of the program. Any additional teaching materials will be reported by the end of the course and, where possible, made available on the online teaching platform.
Students don't attending the course contact please the teacher to discuss during consultation hours about doubts and questions concerning their preparation for the exam.
