Learning outcomes

In this course, you will learn:

- to understand and classify the main concepts of argumentation theory and logic of dialogue;
- to recognize the structure of an argument and its truth conditions;
- to tell the difference between common argumentation fallacies;
- to formulate a text in a clear and understandable way;
- to lead an inclusive dialogue.

This is an introductory course, no previous knowledge of logic is required.

Syllabus

The course will cover the following topics:

- From formal to informal logic
- Arguments: What they are and how they work
- Common logical and argumentative fallacies
- Disputes and their resolution
- Reasoning and language
- Conversational logic and inclusive dialogue
