The course aims at:
- providing students with a general overview on hermeneutics as a critical theory about the action of understanding and interpreting texts;
- helping students to know the main features of hermeneutic research on training practices through some examples;
- helping students to analyze educational practices in CINEMA and LITERATURE and in texts collected on the field.

The course will deal with the following topics:
- hermeneutics as a critical theory about the action of understanding and interpreting texts;
- educational and training practice as a text to be interpreted;
- analyzing educational practices as translating and putting the sense in words;
- analyzing educational practices starting from literary and cinematographic texts.

Assessment methods and criteria

Oral exam. Further details about tasks and criteria will be provided at the beginning of the course. The assessment will also include an evaluation of a student’s personal presentation to be approved by the teacher.
