Learning outcomes

The Course is about the sociological study of communicative cases, those characterize the interpersonal lives, the social relationships, the world-system. The core is the mediation’s process and the formative part of the remote media – classical media, cultural media, mass media, net-media. The Course proposes a training for sociological analysis of a communication “mediated” by digital technologies. A particular object is the prevailing part attributed to the phone-mobile – digital media of mobile, personalized, instant, omnipresent, multimedial communication, an so on. – in daily life, in human interaction, in institutional communications, in individual entertainment, in access to the social and cultural services.

Syllabus

The Course is divided in three sections. In the first section, the sources of international literature are observed whether by social history, or by social impact of phone-mobile, also in the light of differences between the North and the South, the West and the East. The second section proposes a didactic exercise – in the Research-Media-Lab of the teacher, at the University – to examine how the Italian press “advertises and reports” on phone-mobile, to create a portfolio and a personal paper. In the third section, it develops the analyse of the part of phone-mobile’s in Italian’s habit and in interpersonal relationship’s life.
