Learning outcomes

The course aims to provide professional educationists with the appropriate knowledge concerning intercultural pedagogy, considered the best solution to pluralism, to globalization, to the multiethnic and multicultural society. Besides the historical development, particular attention will be given to the methodological and didactic aspects, with a comparison with other European countries. During classes, the application both in an educational context, and in a familiar, political, religious and social context will be considered.

Syllabus

1.Development of intercultural pedagogy as a solution to globalization and complexity.
2.Stereotypes, prejudices, intercultural education in the Italian school.
3.Concrete possibility of intercultural education in family.
