Learning outcomes

The course is conceived as an introduction to logics with a synthetic investigation of propositional logics in relation to syntactic and semantics; notions of predicative logics and history of logics.

Syllabus

Contents of the course:
I) Elements of the history of logics (BLANCHÉ, La logica e la sua storia, Chap. II, IV, VI § 3; IX § 1: Eulerean’s diagrams; notes from class) .
II) Elements of propositional logics (LEMMON, Elementi di logica, Chap. I e II; Metatheorems Chap. II only terms; notes from class).
III) Elements of predicative logics (LEMMON, Elementi di logica, Chap. III, § 1; notes from class).
