At the end of the course, students will know:
- the theoretical constructs to contextualize Inclusive education in the Italian education system
- the teaching strategies that allow to establish inclusive learning environments
- the methodologies for developing inclusive teaching actions
Applied knowledge and understanding:
At the end of the course, students will be able to:
- manage the knowledge acquired in effective and organic ways
- identify the connections between different knowledges acquired
- to use the knowledge acquired within professional practice
Judgment Autonomy:
At the end of the course, students will have to demonstrate that they are able to reflect critically and problematizing what learned, considering the specificities that characterize the development of an inclusive education system.
Communication skills:
At the end of the course, students will have to demonstrate that they have understood the communication codes useful to promote an inclusive environment at school.
Learning ability:
At the end of the course, students will have to demonstrate that they have acquired the ability to frame the theme of educational inclusion within their teaching, being able to identify the sources to support a continuous updating respect to theories and practices characterizing inclusive teaching actions.
Contents delivered are based on the legislation. Specifically, the following topics will be explored:
- The concept of inclusion and policies for students with BES.
- The ICF (International Classification of Functioning, WHO, 2001).
- The organization of school for inclusion: barriers and facilitators.
- The national PEI and the role of the curricular teacher.
- PDP models.
The assessment of learning will have a formative purpose, and will consist of one or more quizzes (with closed-ended questions) related to the topics included in the program.
