Information technology is today a fundamental tool for the study and promotion of the world's artistic heritage and can become an equally useful tool in the field of teaching art history, both in anticipation of the collection of data for the preparation of lessons, to integrate traditional bibliographic sources, and for the creation of practical lessons and exercises to propose and share with students. During the lessons, you will become familiar with search engines, digital archives, computer databases and virtual collections made available by public and private bodies, museums, academies and national and international research centers. The uses of digital in the field of art communication and its possible applications in the educational field will be evaluated. Finally, two topics related to the promotion and protection of cultural heritage will be taken as examples, analyzing their possible uses in the school environment.
