The course is aimed at secondary school teachers and aims to reflect on and put into practice different teaching methods and tools, as well as specific technologies, to teach modules on English literature and culture.
At the end of the course, the students will be able to:
• identify the fundamental teaching objectives regarding the teaching of the language and literature of English-speaking countries in secondary school;
• select the most useful tools for the development of the interpretative competence of texts in L2, with particular attention to literary ones;
• choose texts, topics and authors from different eras, genres, geographical-cultural contexts, considering both the teaching and motivational potential, and the linguistic and cultural knowledge of the learners, in such a way as to design interdisciplinary teaching modules
