Examination Methods

Exams:
Learning outcomes will be assessed through a written essay based on the interviews.

Implementation of a microstudy focusing on development tasks and educational challenges in adolescence and based on data collected through semi-structured interviews with educators/ parents/coordinators of services in residential care communities for young people/young adults who have lived in care communities. Activities designed to assist with the development of the interview framework will form part of the course teaching hours.

Students will be required to produce a report (in written or, potentially, in video format) that covers their analysis and interpretation of the data, drawing on the theoretical content encountered in the lessons, workshops and course reading list (and any other sources identified as required).

The study report should include a cover page (containing: the student’s first and last name, ID number, major, employment position, e-mail, and telephone number); the central part of the essay should comprise a brief summary; introduction, analysis of the data and conclusion.
The essay should be subdivided into sections, footnotes and final bibliography.
The student should submit an electronic copy of the essay at least 5 days prior to the exam.
The micro-study must provide clear evidence of learning by citing the texts indicated in the bibliography and other texts identified during the research process, and by providing a personal interpretation of, and reflection on, the lessons attended, bibliographical sources, and the research conducted (interviews)

Stage e Tirocini

  • fare esperienza diretta di attività professionali, che richiedono un livello di preparazione al lavoro educativo;
  • approfondire in particolare il rapporto tra preparazione teorica, acquisita mediante lo studio, ed esperienza pratica, tra mondo del sapere e della cultura e mondo del lavoro e delle professioni;
