Knowledge and understanding Module1: Cultural mediation in educational services 1. To know and understand the main models of encounter with each other, matured at the rise of the "Modern Age" in relation to the conquest of continents and the structuring of a "we European". 2. To know the contents of the main theories of the "pedagogies of the South" of the world and understand their universal value. 3. To know and understand the approach of the pedagogy of the meeting. 4. To know and understand the main theories that guide cultural mediation in educational services. Module 2: Cultural mediation laboratory in educational services 1. To know the methods that characterize cultural mediation in educational services and understand the circularity between theory-method-practice. Applying knowledge and understanding Module1: Cultural mediation in educational services 1. Be able to situate one's own pedagogical knowledge to interact constructively with educational models from other languages, religions and realities brought about by migration. 2. Knowing how to use the theories and methods of cultural mediation to build educational contexts that realize a pedagogy of the encounter. 3. Knowing how to read the dangers of racialization within educational discourse / planning and be able to reformulate its actions. Module 2: Laboratorio di mediazione culturale nei servizi educativi 1. To practice in applying the theories of pedagogy of the meeting and the methods of cultural mediation in the educational accompaniment of people and families.

Program

Classes are about meeting pedagogy, in the different spaces (frameworks) of educational community work.
Which knowledge is necessary to educate your own look? Which meeting culture is possible in social differences? How to build micro-communities in the territories and build educational services?
De(s)colonial thought will be studied together with cultural mediation. We will compare ourselves with the books of Chinua Achebe, a Nigerian writer and with experiences of educational and ethnographic research.

Teaching method

Active/reflective, course diary writing.
Classes will be kept by online streaming, if presencial won’t be possible.

Examination Methods

In moodle will be inserted the indications for the construction of the diary


evaluation.

The assessment of the test is based on the 0-30 scale.
The criteria for the evaluation of the oral exam are:
- personal reworking of contents in the relationship between theory and practice;
- mastery of the specific language of the discipline;
- argumentative ability.


ERASMUS students are asked to contact the teacher at the beginning of the courses to agree on texts and assessment tests together.

Students with disabilities or specific learning disorders (SLD), who intend to request the adaptation of the exam, must follow the instructions given HERE

Stage e Tirocini

Le ulteriori attività formative (crediti F) sono interamente coperte dall’attività di tirocinio “indiretto” (1 cfu) da svolgersi nel secondo anno e di tirocinio “diretto” (14 cfu) da svolgersi presso enti convenzionati per un numero complessivo di 15 cfu (375 ore). Chi è iscritta/o al curriculum servizi per l’infanzia è tenuta/o a svolgere il tirocinio presso nidi e servizi per la prima infanzia per almeno il 50% delle ore.
Il tirocinio professionalizzante (375 ore, pari a 15 cfu), è obbligatorio sia nella sua forma diretta che indiretta.
Il tirocinio indiretto, della durata di 25 ore a frequenza obbligatoria al 75%, si svolge in Università per 20 ore e in forma di lavoro individuale per 5 ore e consiste in un accompagnamento iniziale delle/degli studenti da parte dei tutor attraverso un percorso formativo dotandoli di conoscenze e strumenti adeguati a osservare, comprendere e rielaborare criticamente l’esperienza di tirocinio nei servizi educativi e ad affrontare il tirocinio negli enti con metodo e consapevolezza. Il percorso, da attuare in gruppi da 20-25 persone sotto la supervisione di un tutor, risponde alle esigenze costantemente espresse sia dalle/dagli studenti stessi sia dalle parti sociali che dai referenti degli enti convenzionati.
Il tirocinio diretto si propone di raggiungere i seguenti obiettivi:

  • fare esperienza diretta di attività professionali, che richiedono un livello di preparazione al lavoro educativo;
  • approfondire in particolare il rapporto tra preparazione teorica, acquisita mediante lo studio, ed esperienza pratica, tra mondo del sapere e della cultura e mondo del lavoro e delle professioni;

Al termine del tirocinio diretto lo studente deve presentare una relazione scritta, nella modalità concordata con il tutor accademico.
