Learning outcomes

The course will focus on the deepening of the institutions of family law, with a focus to the changes that have affected this law in recent years. Specifically, we will try to analyze the family`s branch as a social entity and fundamental right of the person and the marriage. We will analyze filiation in all its forms as well.
The aim is to provide the student with the tools to understand the legal issues involving the family and to carry out a critical analysis of several problems.
We will provide the student the acquisition of a legal lexicon and skills to understand the main legal issues. The student will be able to identify and to manage the main issues.

With regard to non-attending students, the teaching methods will consist of a support from the teacher to a study on the books.
With the support of the University e-learning platform, specific updating readings are proposed concerning the most recent legislative changes. Assessment methods and criteria

The exam will be conducted with an oral interview aimed at verifying the understanding of the subjects covered by the course and related legal issues. The oral exam is unique about the whole program.
The attending students can however choose - alternatively - to make an oral presentation on a chosen topic and agreed in advance with the teacher. Such exposure, where it implies a positive and satisfactory result, will replace the above oral examination.
