Learning outcomes

The course aims to make us reflect on how we have done historical research in the educational sector, following the different cultural models; about the meaning of objectivity and subjectivity of history; on the possibility of an interpretation of historical fact. It intends to experiment, even through concrete research proposals, as historical research can and should proceed according to the scientific method, passing the positions of those who used the story for a long time, turning it for convenience functionally to the defense or to the progress of a people, of a state, an ideology or a civilization. Wants to highlight in particular the attention that the company at all times has turned towards the different and marginal, both in studies and in the implementation of services and educational institutions dedicated to the person addressed (retirement homes, welfare and educational institutions, etc. ).
Knowledge: intends to present, even in the form of seminars, reflections, content, methods of how it developed and how it now has the historical research in the pedagogical-educational field, their purpose and method. To know the time evolution of institutions that have as their purpose the care and education.
Understanding: intends to help develop research skills, interpretation and ideas of narrative, the facts about the education; to understand how the present, even in the field of socio-educational services, and development and the result of a journey that has roots in past societies. Encourage the development in students of the historical sense, that is the feeling caught up in a process that starts in the past and continues into the future, to which every person can make a contribution.
enforcement capacity: presenting and making experience laboratoriamente concrete examples of educational research, aims at supporting capacity for a scientific approach to playing and historically situate the various educational services.
