Learning outcomes

Purpose of the study of biology understands some conceptual cornerstones such as: the concept of cell, organism, population, species, fertilization and reproduction, and the concept of evolution will be the leitmotiv as it is the frame of reference.

The study of organisms, some peculiarities: the emergent properties, the cell, the possibility of transmitting information by inheritance, the binomial form and function, interactions with the environment, unity and diversity, evolution.
The forms of life; the evolution and the origin of man: the theory of evolution, the ability to evolve variants, fundamental biological phenomena, heredity and environment, the time and manner of the evolutionary process, to think in evolutionary terms.
The adaptive strategies implemented by the organizations. The mechanisms by which animals perform vital functions; evolution and adaptive significance of physiological traits; the way in which they differ and resemble different groups of animals; the mode of interaction between ecology and physiology.
