Learning outcomes

The educational aims of the course are the following:
a) acquiring the foundation of pedagogical knowledge;
b) promoting the acquisition of a pedagogical perspective called “phenomenology of educational caring”;
c)promoting the development of discourse analysis skills of Plato’s dialogues;
d)promoting the development of dialogical and reflective skills.

Syllabus

The course is structured into two parts:
1)part one: presentation of the concept of “caring” in order to highlight its constitutive significance within the pedagogical knowledge and educational practice;
2) part two: working groups aiming at practicing the analysis of Plato’s dialogues.

- One of the Plato’s dialogues, chosen between Phaedrus, Theaetetus, Protagoras and Meno.

Written examination
