Learning outcomes

The goal of this course is to provide students with an understanding of conceptual basis of the approach to "learning environments" and introduce students to relevant methods and techniques to analyze organizations and individuals needs to project effective proposals of learning environments.

Syllabus

The course covers the following topics:
References for the conceptual design of "learning environments”: constructivism, meaningful learning
Learning as a process
Formal, informal and non-formal learning
Models and metaphors of "learning environment"
Training and widespread role of the trainer
Some tools: task analysis, skills, conceptual knowledge, distributed knowledge, communities of practice, ICT
The design of learning environments with integrated ICT: project work
Examples of learning environments in the classroom, outside the classroom and beyond the classroom
