Learning outcomes

The course aims at giving a basic knowledge of the measures adopted by a number of countries, in the Modern Age up to the last decades, in the fields of assistance, social security, public health, work regulations and, more generally, towards the weakest layers of society.
The course aims at introducing general information apt to give a better understanding of contemporary world.

Syllabus

The course also aims at give the students such instruments for a better evaluation of welfare in contemporary Italy in the light of the past welfare politics in Italy and for a comparison with the same kind of politics as they developed in other European countries.
Lesson will give a general framework of the above mentioned subjects.
