Learning outcomes

The course aims to analyse thoroughly the themes of general pedagogy studied in the previous years. After having outlined the centrality of pedagogy to face a lot of the recent crisis and conflicts, the course will be focused in identifying the most adequate pedagogical solutions. Starting from the education in time of globalization and of linguistic, ethnic, religious, cultural pluralism, the most recent developments in the context of intercultural pedagogy will be considered.

Syllabus

1. Globalization, complexity, crisis of values and crisis of education.
2. The central position of pedagogy and education in the modern society.
3. Educational strategies in a context of pluralism and diversity.
4. Intercultural pedagogy as a solution to the multicultural society.
