Learning outcomes

Competence in the interpretation and in the analysis of the organisation of society in the Middle Ages, in its main aspects (Institutions, Economy, Law, Culture, Religion)

Syllabus

In particular, students schould acquire:

d)Guide-criteria for the historical analysis of the society in the Midle Ages;
e)The capacity of orienting in the mediaeval city of Verona.

Main Course: Verona in the Middle Ages.
To prepare with notes from the lessons, and the study of the medieval sources introduced to the students, during lessons, and the visit of the city in program.

Students who don’t attend lessons have to visit Verona, and in addjunction they have to read: Storia di Verona, ed. by G. Zalin, Vicenza, Neri Pozza editore, pp. 55-193.
