Lesson timetable

Learning outcomes

The course is aimed at stimulating philosophical thinking about education intended as human education, a vast philosophical category that includes the educative event, process and methods as well as guidance towards action; it aims to investigate the age-old category of education and give it a new meaning in light of current day issues.

Syllabus

This year’s theme is change, a category that cannot be ignored in the present day, as its ambivalent nature needs to be investigated.
Change, whether under force or freely pursued, has taken on a role in our lives with subjective effects and consequences and a hold on reality that are worthy of reflection. Within this context job changes and the forms they assume are symbols. We will ask under which conditions it is possible to take on the role of change makers as opposed to being forced to accept the changes they make. How it is possible to make yourself heard on change?
We will answer these questions by using texts on job transformation (in particular socially based work) and on its forms that propose theories and open up to innovative and creative dimensions.

The lessons will involve the students as much as possible, either individually or in small groups, both during lectures and classroom discussions.
