Learning outcomes

introduction to the main themes of political philosophy.

Syllabus

Contents of the course: freedom, contract, equality: modern contractualism and feministic critics. The course will analyse the political contractualist thought, starting from the British one (Locke and Hobbes). Particular attention will be paid to the exclusion of women from the emancipative promises of freedom and equality.
