Curriculum

Giada Vicentini’s research interests mainly regard the psychology of emotions and the psychology of emergency, with experience in the theoretical and applied fields, thanks to the collaboration to various projects in which interventions for minors and adults were developed and implemented. Her research topics are described as follows:

  1. Psychology of emotions: emotions and emotion regulation strategies characterizing students of different ages in learning contexts; emotional competence (i.e., the ability to express, understand, and regulate emotions) as a helpful resource to deal with different everyday challenges; influence of individual and contextual factors (mainly, personality) on emotions and emotion regulation strategies.
  2. Psychology of emergency: emotional competence as a resource on which it is possible to preventively work with children, adolescents, and adults to promote resilience towards disasters and violent acts.
