Sono una sociologa della cultura e della religione, interessata alla mobilità spirituale e religiosa. Ho condotto diverse ricerche post-dottorato sulla patrimonializzazione delle eredità religiose e sulla valorizzazione del patrimonio culturale. I miei attuali interessi riflettono tre principali linee di ricerca: il valore e la natura del patrimonio religioso e storico-culturale; la patrimonializzazione come processo produttivo di cambiamento e innovazione all'interno delle religioni e della spiritualità; l'impegno volontario come base dell'azione, sia all'interno che all'esterno delle istituzioni religiose, in relazione al campo più ampio del turismo culturale.
L'obiettivo della ricerca in corso intitolata “Il turismo degli itinerari e dei cammini: una ricerca qualitativa sull’uso sociale delle eredità storico-religiose" è studiare il cambiamento che la valorizzazione culturale e turistica produce nell'area veronese in alcuni luoghi religiosi di particolare interesse, collegati da e attraverso percorsi simbolici o reali.

I am a sociologist of culture and religion, interested in spiritual and religious mobility. I have conducted several post-doctoral researches on the heritagisation of religious heritage and the valorisation of cultural heritage. My current interests reflect three main lines of research: the value and nature of religious and cultural-historical heritage; heritagisation as a productive process of change and innovation within religions and spirituality; 3) voluntary engagement as a basis for action, both within and outside religious institutions, in relation to the broader field of cultural tourism.
The objective of the current research entitled "The tourism of itineraries and paths: a qualitative research on the social use of historical-religious heritage" is to study the change that cultural and tourist enhancement produces in the Verona area in some religious places of particular interest, connected by and through symbolic or real routes.
