Curriculum

Laura Anna Macor è Professore Associato di Storia della Filosofia e nel 2018 ha ottenuto l’abilitazione a professore di prima fascia nello stesso settore scientifico-disciplinare. Si è formata presso la Scuola Normale Superiore, l'Università di Pisa e l'Università di Padova, e nel corso degli anni ha ricevuto prestigiosi finanziamenti individuali, tra cui una Alexander von Humboldt-Fellowship presso la Katholische Universität Eichstätt-Ingolstadt e una Marie Curie Intra-European Fellowship presso la Oxford University. È stata inoltre Visiting Fellow presso la School of Advanced Study (SAS) della University of London e Land Niedersachsen Fellow presso la Herzog August Bibliothek (HAB) Wolfenbüttel. Nel 2007 ha vinto il Premio di Filosofia “Viaggio a Siracusa” per la migliore tesi di dottorato, e nel 2014 il Premio Ladislao Mittner del Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD) per meriti scientifici in ambito di filosofia tedesca e meriti culturali nella promozione del dialogo tra Italia e Germania. Tra il 2016 e il 2018 è stata Ricercatrice di Storia della Filosofia presso il Dipartimento di Lettere e Filosofia dell'Università di Firenze, e dal 2019 collabora stabilmente con l’Interdisziplinäres Zentrum für die Erforschung der Europäischen Aufklärung (IZEA) della Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg. Inoltre, è membro del Beirat della Hölderlin-Gesellschaft. Si occupa di filosofia moderna, nello specifico di illuminismo e pensiero tedesco del XVIII secolo, da una prospettiva interdisciplinare che coinvolge in particolare letteratura, teologia e storia della lingua, ed è attualmente impegnata nell'applicazione del modello ermeneutico della "Philosophy as a Way of Life".

Laura Anna Macor is Associate Professor of History of Philosophy, and in 2018 she obtained the Habilitation as Full Professor in the same field. She studied at the Scuola Normale Superiore, the University of Pisa and the University of Padua. Over the years she has received prestigious individual awards, including an Alexander von Humboldt-Fellowship at the Katholische Universität Eichstätt-Ingolstadt and a Marie Curie Intra-European Fellowship at the University of Oxford. She has also been Visiting Fellow at the School of Advanced Study (SAS) of the University of London and Land Niedersachsen Fellow at the Herzog August Bibliothek (HAB) Wolfenbüttel. In 2007 she was awarded the Philosophy Prize “Viaggio a Siracusa” for the best PhD dissertation, and in 2014 the Ladislao Mittner Prize of the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdienst (DAAD) for her research achievements in the field of German philosophy and her meritorious efforts to promote the cultural dialogue between Italy and Germany. In 2016-2018 she served as Assistant Professor of History of Philosophy at the Dipartimento di Lettere e Filosofia of the University of Florence, and since 2019 she has been participating in the research activities of the Interdisziplinäres Zentrum für die Erforschung der Europäischen Aufklärung (IZEA) of the Martin-Luther-Universität Halle-Wittenberg. Furthermore, she is a member of the Beirat of the Hölderlin-Gesellschaft. She is interested in early-modern philosophy, with a special focus on the Enlightenment and eighteenth-century German thought, which she deals with from an interdisciplinary perspective open particularly to literature, theology and the history of language, and she is currently committed to applying the hermeneutic paradigm of "Philosophy as a Way of Life".
