The “Erasmus+ 2015 KA2 Smart Practice” project aims to improve the quality of higher education through strengthening the entrepreneurial skills of university students, better preparing them for the labor market. The two-year project aims to develop a framework of targeted internships that are beneficial to both students and businesses. The project aims to strengthen cooperation between universities, businesses and other social partners, promoting the development of entrepreneurial skills through an approach based on teamwork, interdisciplinarity and problem-based experiential learning.
The main activities of the project include analyzing best practices of problem-based internship models in higher education institutions (HEIs), developing a shared methodology between universities and corporate partners, piloting the developed methodology in all partner countries with multidisciplinary student teams, and revising the methodology based on the piloting results. Finally, a handbook will be developed that brings together the project results, including research reports, problem-solving strategies and marketing plans.
The project consortium is led by the Kaunas Chamber of Commerce, Industry and Crafts in Lithuania, with partners including Vytautas Magnus University in Lithuania, Eurosuccess Consulting in Cyprus, Lapland University of Applied Sciences in Finland, and universities in Italy and Cyprus. Each partner has specific responsibilities in the different phases of the project, from conducting the best practice analysis to leading the process of developing, testing and reviewing the methodology and writing the final manual.
The project also includes dissemination events such as national workshops and roundtable discussions in each partner country to share knowledge and experience and obtain feedback on project results. The Kaunas Chamber of Commerce is in charge of project management, while quality assurance is handled by Eurosuccess Consulting. The various dissemination activities and events are coordinated by Vytautas Magnus University.
