The course aims at in-depth acquisition of the fundamentals of clinical psychology, development psychopathology and clinical care. A great deal of emphasis will be placed on the link between theory and clinical practice. Attendance is therefore strongly encouraged.
Definition of clinical psychology and developmental psychology.
Connection between clinical psychology and medicine. Clinical assessment. Clinical talk with children, adolescents, adults. Infant observation.
Dynamic theories. Attachment theories. Object relation theories.
Link between clinical psychology and environment: school, social services, psychiatry, other institutions.
Primary prevention and secondary prevention.
Psychopathological organizations. Defence mechanisms. Neurotic and psychotic structures, borderline cases.
Clinical cases.
Relational and parental styles.
Elements of psychotherapy.
