Learning outcomes

The coming of 2.0 Enterprise had given new life to Knowledge Management which has moved the focus from pure “knowledge” to “people” who detains it. This fact allows people to grow with the company and the company to grow with the people. It’s about creating a cooperative ecosystem of knowledge that let the company boost its learning skills, improving innovation, efficiency and effectiveness in services erogation or production of goods.
In this perspective the course intends to:
-understand the dynamics of learning as result of practise inside a community/company
-learn the organization model of knowledge management
-learn the main techniques of negotiation to deal with conflicts with a win-win logic
Moreover the course intends to make students able to:
-design a knowledge management system for companies which operate in the services sector
-organize and lead cooperative teams

Syllabus

-Learning as a result of practice inside a community
-The Knowledge Management: a theoretic frame
-Knowledge as a resource: from the resource-based theory to knowledge-management perspective
-An analytic scheme for “knowledge management” analysis process
-The dependent variable: managerial knowledge
-Knowledge characteristics: codification, possibility of teaching and critique ability
-Relational variables inside companies
-Cooperative work
-How to activate and deal with cooperative work
-conflict management in companies. How to change them in learning opportunities and growing for all the company members
-Win-win approach to conflict situations
- negotiation techniques for the win-win approach application

Assessment methods and criteria

The verification of acquired skills of the applicants will consist in an oral interview on the texts shown in the bibliography and on the content of the lectures.
The evaluation of competences will consist in the exposition of the “Project Work” realized from the applicants during the course.
Evaluation mode:
-Oral interview to a max of 15/30
-Project Work to a max of 15/30
The modalities are not different between attending students and non-attending students. For the non-attending students it is mandatory to take contact with the professor to agree the content of the Project Work.
