Learning outcomes

Educational objectives
The course aims to provide knowledge and skills that allow the planning, organization and conduct of motor activities with the pupils of the Early Childhood and Primary School.

Students and students will know:
• The fundamental epistemological elements of the Motor Sciences;
• The peculiarities of teaching motor activities with children from the Infancy school;
• The main contents related to the formation of motor skills in line with the "Ministerial Guidelines" of the Fields and Areas related to School Physical Education.
Students and students will be able to produce:
• Programming of physical activities for the kindergarten school
• Operational programming of modules / teaching units / teaching units / lessons

Syllabus

Course program (Lecture topics)
Outline of the main topics related to the proposals for motor activities in the developmental age: psycho-motor development, health and well-being, lifestyles. In particular, the main theories on motor learning and the methodological / didactic approach to different movement situations will be analyzed. Attention will also be given to the analysis of the contents of the activity through the construction of educational courses and teaching units and the simulation of cases.

The topics covered in the lessons:
the themes will be mainly connected with the Ministerial document "Indications ... for the first cycle"
o Epistemological foundations of motor activities 3 - 6 years: cognitive, emotional and health aspects
o Terminological definitions and fields of motor experience of human beings
o The game and the forms of the "movement" game
o Teach - learn new motor skills: skills development methods - psycho-motor skills
o Motor skills and abilities
o The teaching of motor activities
o The motor skills and body availability of the teacher
o Individual games (practical experiences)
o Teaching - learning new motor skills: the organization of space, time and intensity of activities and organization
o team / team games (practical experiences)
o Motor development 3 - 6 years
o The "roles" of the human movement according to the "Indications"
or the transversality of the "fields of experience": the areas connected with physical education. Methodological and content opportunities
o The planning and planning of motor activities in the Infant school
or adapted physical activities
or posture, altered posture and prevention
or the inclusion of students with disabilities
or evaluation in motor activities

In the laboratory activities the following topics will be developed according to the available spaces and equipment:
• individual and group recreational and motor activities with and without tools
• imaginative, traditional exploration games
• games of "discovery" and body knowledge
• routes and circuits
• games of balance and "courage" (pre-acrobatics)
• water and water games
• rhythmic games and folk dances

Assessment methods and criteria

The evaluation includes the formulation of a written educational design which will be followed by an interview relating to the illustration of the writing and to the assessment of the general knowledge of the course.
