Hermeneutics is the theory of comprehending and interpreting literary texts, but the notion of “text” could be extended to understanding the didactics and educational practices. For this reason didactics research tries to approach the territory of the didactics practice - and the various texts which reveal the meaning of it - using a hermeneutics compass.
The course aims at:
- providing students with a general overview on hermeneutics as a critical theory about the action of understanding and interpreting texts;
- helping students to know the main features of hermeneutic research on training practices through some examples;
- helping students to analyze educational practices in Cinema and Literature and in texts collected on the field.
Program of the course
The course will deal with the following topics:
- hermeneutics as a critical theory about the action of understanding and interpreting texts;
- educational and training practice as a text to be interpreted;
- analyzing educational practices as translating and putting the sense in words;
- analyzing educational practices starting from literary and cinematographic texts.
