Learning outcomes

The course will provide the theoretical and methodological bases of the discipline and analyze some important issues of contemporary social geography, such as the spatial impact of globalization, the social transformation of urban space, the effects of social and migration dynamics in Italian and African territories. The theoretical analysis will be supported by case studies, in particular on the knowledge of West Africa.

Assessment methods and criteria

Exam
Written exam. The evaluation will consider: knowledge, ability to communicate in a clear way, proper use of geographical terminology, spelling and syntax.
