Learning outcomes

Module: CULTURE, DISABILITÀ E DIFFICOLTÀ DELL'APPRENDIMENTO

The first part of the course focuses on principal theories about basic themes regarding children’s learning development, examining early development and cognitive, socio-emotional and linguistic aspects, and, in particular, following the psychosocial approach, the role of individual and socio-cultural aspects (especially the in-group/out-group mechanism on self and social perception) for learning acquisition and development. In the second part of the course disability and learning difficulties are considered, examining in particular socio-cultural and educational issues and intervention programme construction. In addition, intercultural approaches to education and scholastic integration are analysed.

The aim of the course is to provide a basis for the study of the biological networks underlying human behaviour, learning processes and educational activities. In addition, the most important areas of modern research will be discussed.
