Learning outcomes

Educational Objectives:
- Reflects on what is pedagogy of the mediation in relationship with the work of taking care of people, families and groups that belong to different languages and cultures.
- This course proposes to understand the base dynamics of the cultural and ethnoclinic mediation devices’ in the educational, social and sanitary contexts.

Syllabus

Syllabus:
What is an educational relationship when speaking and living languages are different?
The course introduces the Mediation’s Pedagogy.
Starting from concrete experiences, there will be located the theoretical and practical assumptions that drives the work of meeting with “the other” in social-educational and health fields.

Didactic formality: During general character lessons will be woven exercises in small groups and meetings of closer examination in laboratory form. We will individualize one or more qualitative tools for the re-elaboration and the restitution of the course experience.

Assessment methods and criteria

Exam methods: The examination will be in form of interview. Students can compile an individual writing, that keeps in mind both of the texts faced during the course and the experiences in the cultural mediation area. The writing must be delivered a week before the examination and it will be discusses during the examination.
