The aim of the course is to extend knowledge of the connetions between learning and the structure of the brain. The subject of cerebral plasticity, resulting from the interaction between biological identity and the environment, will be explored.
Students will learn to understand how this interaction occurs in normal learning conditions, in pathological cases and during the recovery process after brain damage.
In addition, they will discover how recent studies in the field of neuroscience are increasingly integrated with psychological, pedagogical and anthropological knowledge.
Course topics:
• Cerebral plasticity from evolutionary, neuroscientific and educational standpoints
• Experimental evidence of human cerebral plasticity
• Education and rehabilitation based on experimental data
• How can neuroscience assist in education and rehabilitation?
