Learning outcomes

The course enables students to develop knowledge about the concept of care, that is a core concept which is essential in order to construct the educational issue. It also develops skills relating to the basic conceptual analysis of the topic chosen as well as to the recognition of the ways of acting, which are typical of a good educational practice.
Starting from a perspective according to which pedagogy is a practical knowledge, which develops through a relation to other subjects, this course considers the construction of educational issue, relating to both theoretical and practical research. The course activities aim to develop critical analysis of research processes by finding out paradigms, main concepts, methodological issues in educational research reports.

Syllabus

Students take two modules:
• Theoretical research
The course considers educational process from the perspective of the concept of “care” as essential structure of educational practice.
• Empirical research
