The course wants to introduce the participants to a sociological reflection about education and its processes. Underlining peculiarity, history, objectives and methods, it will search to guide the student to study in particular the themes of “socialization” and “social identity”.
During the course it will be presented the specific elements of this teaching and its relation with general sociology. The first section will be aimed to study the relationship between education and society, of the subjects and the processes that characterized it. In the second part of the course the attention will focused on the process of socialization and on social identity, studying in depth the theme of the relationship and cohabitation among different cultural identity in a contest so rich of models like that actual.
