Learning outcomes

Aims of the course are (1) reading of Being and Time in their systematic articulation with reference tot o the original text and to different translations in Italian and English, (2) identification of the sources of History of philosophy, (3) reconstruction of immediate and (4) long lasting perception.

Syllabus

Contents of the course: Heidegger’s Being and Time. The course introduces an interdisciplinary approach to the most significant philosophical text of the XXth century. Heidegger’s “existential analyticity”, introduced in 1927 is a work of art concerning authenticity, comprehension of care, consciousness of the circularity of each interpretation and the fact that man is free only in front of death. The heritance left by Heidegger in the XXIst century consists in the size reached by the “culture of death”.

Assessment methods and criteria

Oral discussion and comment of the bibiography, final written test and possible written individual exercises.
